Tampa Get Together?

I’ve been asked by some in the chat room to put out some feelers for a get together in Tampa this winter…Jan / Feb time frame? If that’s something that appeals to you, speak up and we’ll see if anything develops. I’m not sure about moderator participation at this time, Craig would be the most likely to attend.

I will be in Bonita Springs from mid January to mid April, so that can work for me.

My vacation request form comes out sometime in September. If I can get a definite date, I could probably attend.

NOTE: For various reasons, most likely looking at Feb 17 - 22 timeframe. Will aim to confirm in next week or so (chime in here if this date doesn't work for you, but others dates could).

I suspect we will meet on track at Tampa Bay Downs. Might do one day at Derby Lane (old dog track with simulcasting). I will scout out where at TPA may be most conducive for us to congregate/chat. And we can discuss other logistics. (Rob and I can help with suggestions/research since we live there) I will likely only be able to attend the weekend days, maybe Friday.

Should be a good time (and would be great if Craig can join!)!

Feb. 17-22 might be very good. I'm not worried about President's Day, its a minor holiday for most. I hope we can come to some general agreement in the next 2 weeks so lodging may be booked. I used to go to Tampa Bay Downs every winter, but a lot of time has passed since then. There were 2 or 3 hotels within a mile or so of the track, it may have been Hillsborough Street but I may be wrong as to that. Chip
