wish this was over a weekend...tough to do during the work week for us working stiffs.

Yeah, we’re sorry about that. We had two main concerns: Keep expenses to a minimum (hence Palace Station and unfortunately, room rates triple for Friday and Saturday) and also the ability to sit closely together in the book. M-Th, we can likely be consolidated in just 2 rows. Friday-Sunday, forget about it…we’d be scattered all over the racebook.

We were hoping a 6 month heads up would allow some to schedule vacation time but that obviously doesn’t work for everyone.

I am coming in on Saturday night leaving Thurs morning. That was the best pricing on flights out of Philly, American does its best to take your last $ if you let them! To Bob's point the room rates (inclusive of a Saturday night) averages $50. I hear the oyster bar at the hotel is amazing, also they make a mean burger.

A horseracing buddy of mine will be joining the festivities....Tom let's talk about what cigars to bring....

Sooooo tempting...if it was a weekend I'd be there. Maybe I'll be a last minute add if work slows down. But I fear (in a good/bad way) that I will be very, very busy like I have been.

Just going through the thread, it looks like about a dozen, including your friend. Craig is still trying to adjust his workload but I counted him for now.

I plan on being in the book early M-Thu, will break for dinner and then I’ll come back to the book in the evening to chat with anyone who wants to look over races for the following day. I’m sure Sam will be pretty much on the same schedule, not sure what Matt and Craig’s plans are.

I’ll probably be arriving mid afternoon on Sunday so if you see me in the book, come over and say hello…it’s likely to be crowded so I’ll have to see what the seating situation is. I need to pickup Sammy at the airport around 7 but I’m happy to hang in the book afterwards if some of you want to go over Monday’s races…I’m a night owl.

I am now a 'maybe' due to some big work stuff potentially coming online beginning that week for our consulting group. I'll know for sure by next weekend (7/6).
