Las Vegas Get Together

Sam, Matt, possibly Craig and I will be playing at Palace Station Monday, 7/21 thru Thursday, 7/24. This is a 100% social gathering, there will not be any presentations. The four of us will be in complete recreational mode...smaller bets and no big deal if we miss some winners because we were yapping.

Has it really been that long? Geez, I would have lost that bet. It will be really nice to see some old friends and meet some new ones, I’d like to do something like this every year if possible.

Yes, its been that long. I occasionally play the videos of that confab. It was a wonderful 2+ days of handicapping and dinners afterwards. The last day we all had dinner at the restaurant around the corner from the book. Michael was at the head of the table and I was to his immediate left. Jim (Blackgold) was across the table from me and my girlfriend was to my left. Twelve years later and of those mentioned, I'm the only one still here. I think of that dinner often. Vegas is Vegas though. I booked a room this morning at $44 dollars a night, but the resort fee is $45+ per night. First time I stayed in Vegas my room was $4 a night, California Hotel, 1975. Chip

Yeah, those resort fees are criminal. We understand that between travel, rooms and food, this trip can push the comfort levels of some. I’m hoping people don’t feel obligated to bet if they don’t want to…just come hang out, ask questions, tell jokes, whatever.
